CAREER HIGHLIGHTS


Jim was President and CEO of Arcadian Corporation, a Fortune 500 company in Memphis, Tennessee until January 1993. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Fina Oil & Chemicals in Dallas.

Prior to joining Fina, Inc., he was an executive with Gulf Oil Corporation serving in various domestic and international positions. He managed the largest division of Gulf Oil Chemicals Co.

He was responsible for organizing Arcadian Corporation, a leveraged buyout, which was sponsored by the Sterling Group. Arcadian was formed in 1989 by the acquisition of five fertilizer producers. In April 1992, he led the effort to de-leverage the leveraged buyout by the formation and sale of one-half of the company in the form of a Master Limited Partnership (NYSE symbol UAN).

In 1993, he formed Petrochemical Management Inc. and has developed a number of business opportunities on behalf of investors as well as serving on the Board of Directors for a number of corporations. In 1996, Petrochemical Management Inc. and Stancil & Co. agreed to associate in representing our clients.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE


  • Arcadian Corporation - President, CEO, and member of the Board of Directors.
  • Fina Oil & Chemicals - Senior Vice President. As a member of the Executive Committee of Fina Oil & Chemicals, an integrated petroleum and petrochemical/plastics producer, Jim was responsible for profitability of the chemicals business and all research and development, acquired the ARCO polypropylene business, and doubled the other Fina chemicals businesses.
  • Gulf Oil Products Co. - Vice President Manufacturing. Responsible for all domestic manufacturing which included four refineries with integrated petrochemical operations and four separate chemical plants. Additionally, responsibilities included Central Engineering, Technology Group with three separate laboratories, and the Data Processing/Analysis Group.
  • Gulf Oil Chemicals Co. - Vice President Olefins & Derivatives Division. Total profit and loss responsibility for the division.
  • Gulf Oil Chemicals Co. - Vice President U.S. Petrochemicals Division. Responsible for the profitability of the basic building block petrochemicals. Implemented the largest single investment by Gulf Oil Chemicals Co.
  • Korea Oil Corporation, Seoul, Korea - Vice President Petrochemicals. A 50/50 joint venture between the Republic of Korea and Gulf Oil Corporation. Responsible for development and profitability of the petrochemical business. Built the first petrochemical complex in Korea.
